Tie a Fly

Thanks for visiting. Here is where I mix my all my passions together.  A brief word about me, I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay (in Baltimore) and spent my summer vacations on my Grandparent’s farm in Westminster, MD.  I have always been involved with many classic sports from fishing and boating to farming and hunting.  Fast Forward — Anyway, I have always enjoyed working with wood and metal.  Over the years I have had the fortune of being involved in many different areas of machining, woodworking, custom duck calls, tying flys,  rod building, bamboo/split cane rods and gunsmithing and of course fly fishing, taking pictures and brewing beer the entire time.

If i’m not working in the shop I can be found fly fishing on the local rivers or in the fields hunting with my Weimaraner, Eric Von “Buster”.  I guess it really depends on the season but then again, I have been known to venture out on the river in the snow for that elusive trout!
